Why Agents Choose Aerial Photography
Listings with aerial photography sell up to 68% faster than those without (DroneDesk, 2023). The bird's-eye view gives buyers the full picture before they visit.
Aerial-enhanced listings attract 61% more online engagement (Red Hog Media, 2023) and 4x more clicks on Zillow and Facebook (Redfin & Zillow, 2024).
83% of sellers believe aerial photos increase their home's perceived value (NAR Research, 2024). Only 15% of agents use them β be the one who does.
Neighborhood Context
Show lot size, surrounding homes, and proximity to parks, schools, and retail. Relocation buyers especially value seeing the full neighborhood setting before making a decision.
FAA Part 107 Certified & Insured
All drone pilots are FAA Part 107 certified with 1,000+ successful real estate flights across Texas. Every aerial shoot is fully insured for total compliance and peace of mind.
Ground-level photos show what a home looks like. Aerial photos show where a home lives. The lot size, the tree-lined street, the proximity to the park, the neighborhood pool. Buyers making the biggest purchase of their lives want to see the full picture β not just the front door.
With affordable aerial packages, there's no reason to leave this off any listing. It's the single most cost-effective way to differentiate your listing from the dozens of competing properties in the same price range.

When Aerial Photography Matters Most

Every listing benefits from aerial views, but some properties demand them. Large lots, corner properties, homes backing to greenbelts or water features, properties near parks, schools, or community amenities. If your listing's location is a selling point, aerial photography makes that visible.
Aerial photos are also essential for relocation buyers who are making decisions from out of state. They can't drive the neighborhood, but they can see it from above. In a state like Texas where corporate relocation is driving massive demand, aerial context can be the deciding factor between your listing and the one down the street.

Aerial Photography FAQs
1How does aerial photography help sell homes faster?
Listings with aerial photography sell up to 68% faster and get 61% more online views (DroneDesk, 2023; Red Hog Media, 2023).
Aerial shots highlight:
- Lot size and neighborhood context
- Proximity to amenities
- Relationship to surrounding properties
These details ground-level photos canβt capture, giving your listings a competitive edge.
2Do I need aerial photos for every listing?
83% of sellers say aerial photos increase their home's perceived value (NAR Research, 2024), yet only 15% of agents use them consistently. Properties with large lots, pools, unique landscaping, proximity to parks or schools, or desirable neighborhoods benefit the most. Even modest listings get a competitive advantage when the aerial view reveals lot size and location context most buyers can't see from ground-level photos.
3Are your pilots FAA-certified and insured?
Yes β all flights are conducted by FAA Part 107 certified pilots operating within applicable FAA regulations. We carry commercial drone insurance and provide certificates of compliance on request. We assist with FAA airspace authorization when required, subject to approval and airspace restrictions (typically near airports, military sites, heliports, stadiums, and any Temporary Flight Restrictions).
4How fast do I get my aerial photos?
- Standard Delivery: 24-Hour Turnaround
- Next Day Rush Delivery: By 10 AM for urgent listings
- On-Site Flight Time: Just 20β30 minutes per property
5What happens if weather affects my drone shoot?
Drones cannot fly in any rain β even light drizzle can damage the electronics, so any active precipitation is a hard stop for aerial work. Wind is harder to judge from the ground, so the pilot may make a final call on site if winds are borderline β that's a pilot judgment, not a client miss.
For obvious conditions (any rain, thunderstorms, visibly heavy wind), make the call early: contact us at least 4 hours before your scheduled shoot and we'll reschedule at no charge. Closer to shoot time, the crew may already be dispatched and a trip fee can apply. If we're on site and conditions turn unsafe β drizzle, gusts, lightning in the area β we'll reschedule at no fee.
6Do you need someone on-site during the aerial shoot?
While not required, we strongly recommend having someone on-site during the aerial shoot. This allows you to confirm the exact angles, property boundaries, and features you want highlighted β especially for vacant land or large lots where boundaries may not be obvious from the air.
If you cannot attend, send us special requests in advance β specific angles, neighboring landmarks to include or avoid, property boundaries, amenity areas β and we will do our best to capture them.
If no one is present and no prior requests are provided, our pilots will proceed using their professional judgment and standard aerial coverage. If additional shots are requested afterward that require a return flight, a reshoot fee will apply.
7Can aerial photos show nearby amenities like parks and schools?
Absolutely. Our photographers can capture aerial images that highlight nearby amenities such as parks, schools, shopping, and community featuresβas long as they are visible from the property.
We focus on capturing true line-of-sight perspectives from the home, and can add optional directional markers or text overlays to clearly point out nearby points of interest. This is especially helpful for relocation buyers who may be unfamiliar with the area.
If a specific amenity isnβt visible from the property, weβre happy to discuss additional optionsβbut standard aerial coverage is designed to showcase what can be seen directly from the home.
8What areas does Shoot2Sell serve?
We serve real estate agents and brokerages across all major Texas metros: Dallas-Fort Worth (Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Prosper, Southlake, Flower Mound, Arlington, Rockwall, Denton, Celina, and more), Houston (The Woodlands, Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, Cypress, Spring, League City, and more), Austin (Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Leander, Lakeway, Dripping Springs, and more), and San Antonio (New Braunfels, Boerne, Schertz, Cibolo, and more).
Outlying suburbs or rural areas may incur a modest trip charge. We are also happy to travel well beyond these metros to locations like East Texas and Southern Oklahoma for a custom travel fee.

9Do we need someone on-site during the shoot?
While not required, we strongly recommend having someone on-site during the shoot. This allows you to review visuals in real time and request any specific shots or angles, or areas you want captured.
If you cannot attend, you are welcome to send us special requests in advance β such as community amenities (pool, clubhouse), specific rooms, or preferred angles β and we will do our best to include them.
If no one is present and no prior requests are provided, our photographers will proceed using their professional judgment and standard coverage guidelines, focusing on the main living areas and key features. Secondary spaces or specific requests may not be captured.
If additional images are requested afterward that require a return visit, a reshoot fee will apply. Planning ahead or being on-site helps ensure everything is captured the first time and avoids additional costs.
10How much do aerial photos cost for real estate agents in Texas?

Pair with aerial video to maximize engagement and show property context buyers can't see from the ground.
