Which Rooms Do We Shoot?

How Shoot2Sell decides which rooms to photograph in your listing — and how to make sure the spaces that matter most to you get the time they deserve.

Before your shoot — quick reads

These short reads cover the most common scheduling questions. Browse the rest before your appointment for the smoothest session.

Home-buying decisions start with compelling visual interest that extends well beyond the curb shot. Our photography is built around the rooms buyers actually care about — the spaces that get a serious look on the MLS and the ones that close the in-person showing.

If there are specific features or rooms you want to emphasize, let us know when you schedule your appointment — your photographer will plan extra coverage time for them.

Our priority: photos that flow and invite

For most listings — small and mid-size homes up to about 4,000 sq ft — we focus on the rooms that drive showings:

  • 3–4 shots each of the front yard, back yard, kitchen, and living room
  • 1-2 shots each of entryway, foyer, dining room, den or secondary living (library, media etc.)
  • 3–4 shots of the primary bedroom and primary bathroom
  • Not typically photographed: secondary bedrooms & bathrooms, garages, utility rooms, and closets
  • Remaining images in your package go toward additional rooms, details, and special features

The goal is a sequence of images that flows naturally and invites the buyer to imagine the in-person walkthrough.

Photographing larger homes

On larger properties we don't try to photograph every bedroom. Instead we prioritize distinctive features that make the home stand out — wine cellars, home theaters, dedicated studies, outdoor entertaining areas, and signature landscaping.

If you have a smaller image package on a larger home, tell our Front Office which rooms matter most before the shoot so we can plan accordingly.

Shots that simply sell

Our photographers apply years of real estate-specific experience to every appointment — from how the space is staged for the camera, to lighting, to the order images are presented. Each frame is hand-edited to look its best in the MLS.

Have a unique listing or special feature you want to highlight? Contact our Front Office when you book and we'll plan around it.
