Renters want to understand your property's layout before they commit. 52% of property seekers consider floor plans essential (Rightmove, 2024), and 1 in 5 won't book or lease a property without understanding the room layout (Zillow Rental Trends, 2024). For group trips, families, corporate relocations, and anyone comparing multiple properties — floor plans are the information that tips the decision.

Floor plans show sleeping arrangements, bathroom locations, kitchen-to-dining flow, and overall square footage in a format that photos alone can't communicate.

For corporate housing, mid-term stays (30+ days), and relocation tenants choosing a rental sight-unseen from another state, floor plans are often the deciding factor between your listing and the next one.

Answer the Layout Question Before They Ask

3D rendered basement floor plan with 4 bedrooms, game room with pool table and ping pong in Lake Dallas, Texas

Every rental host gets the same questions: How many bedrooms? Where are the bathrooms relative to the bedrooms? Is the kitchen open to the living room? How much space is there? Floor plans answer all of these in a single image.

Delivered as high-resolution files that upload directly to every rental platform. Most owners add the floor plan as the second or third photo in their listing gallery. Renters zoom in to study room labels, dimensions, and layout flow — helping them commit faster.

Rental Floor Plan FAQs

1
What types of floor plans are available for rental properties?

We offer two formats: 2D dimensioned plans with labeled rooms and square footage — the most popular option for rental properties — and 3D perspective views that help renters visualize the space before committing. Both formats are delivered in digital files ready for every rental platform and your direct website.

2
How does the measurement process work?

Our technician visits the property with professional measuring equipment and captures every room, hallway, and closet. The on-site visit typically takes 30–45 minutes depending on property size. We then draft the floor plan from the measurements, add room labels, dimensions, and furniture indicators, and deliver the finished file digitally.

3
Can you create floor plans for multi-story rental properties?

Yes — we create individual floor plans for each level, clearly labeled (First Floor, Second Floor, etc.). Multi-story plans help renters understand the layout relationship between floors, where bedrooms are relative to living spaces, and how the property flows. Each floor is delivered as a separate file for easy uploading to listing platforms.

4
How accurate are the floor plan measurements?

All measurements are approximate and intended for marketing purposes. They provide renters with reliable spatial context for understanding room sizes, layout flow, and sleeping arrangements. The measurements are accurate enough for rental decisions but are not intended for construction, renovation, or legal documentation.

5
How quickly will I receive my floor plans?

Floor plans are delivered within 24 hours after your scheduled measurement appointment. Files arrive ready to upload to every rental platform and your direct website. Permanent usage rights are included — use them across all platforms and marketing materials with no restrictions.

6
How do floor plans display on rental platforms?

Floor plans are delivered as high-resolution image files that upload directly to your listing photo gallery on every rental platform — Airbnb, VRBO, Furnished Finder, Zillow Rentals, and your direct website. Most owners add the floor plan as the second or third photo in their gallery. Renters can zoom in to study room labels, dimensions, and layout flow.

7
What areas does Shoot2Sell serve?

We serve rental property owners, vacation rental hosts, and property managers across all major Texas metros: Dallas-Fort Worth (Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Prosper, Southlake, Flower Mound, Arlington, Rockwall, Denton, Celina, and more), Houston (The Woodlands, Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, Cypress, Spring, League City, and more), Austin (Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Leander, Lakeway, Dripping Springs, and more), and San Antonio (New Braunfels, Boerne, Schertz, Cibolo, and more).

Outlying suburbs or rural areas may incur a modest trip charge. We are also happy to travel well beyond these metros to locations like East Texas and Southern Oklahoma for a custom travel fee.

Do we need someone on-site during the shoot?

While not required, we strongly recommend having someone on-site during the shoot. This allows you to review visuals in real time and request any specific shots or angles, or areas you want captured.

If you cannot attend, you are welcome to send us special requests in advance — such as community amenities (pool, clubhouse), specific rooms, or preferred angles — and we will do our best to include them.

If no one is present and no prior requests are provided, our photographers will proceed using their professional judgment and standard coverage guidelines, focusing on the main living areas and key features. Secondary spaces or specific requests may not be captured.

If additional images are requested afterward that require a return visit, a reshoot fee will apply. Planning ahead or being on-site helps ensure everything is captured the first time and avoids additional costs.
